- 3D cell differentiation platform technology using synthetic biogel

CEFObio Co., Ltd. is aiming to obtain the product approval for the Off-the-shelf drugs and cell therapy agents with the proven clear mechanisms of action.Until now, the cell differentiation has been induced considering only the chemical differentiation conditions (Chemical cue).Disadvantages of this method were the large variationby batches, the low differentiation efficiency, and the high production costs.We discovered that the cell differentiation is optimized in the biomimetic environment where the physical properties (stiffness) and the culture environment (Physical milieu) of the porous membrane are controlled using the temperature-sensitive bio gel.

· This bio gel provides the adequate nutrition and air circulation to cells through the porous membrane. Additionally, since it is harmless when ingested, it can also be used as the medium for cell delivery.

· The difficulty in culturing 3D bio gel lies in the process of collecting cells.Since the cells themselves secrete a lot of matrix materials (ECM)and are buried in them, it is not easy to separate the cells. However, cells are collected using CEFObio’s specialized formulated enzymes and technology.

· CEFObio, which has accumulated the research and know-hows on cells for many years, has confirmed the possibility of cells differentiating into not only osteoblasts but also cartilage cells and muscle cells by controlling the differentiation requirements of the same bio gel.The advantage of using thebio gel differentiation platform technology is that it is low cost and highly efficient, making it both economical and effective.

To apply the 3D differentiation and culture technology to the therapeutic agents, CEFObio is developing the bone regeneration cell therapy agents.If you use the CEFObio's Cell Navigator (3D bio gel differentiation platform technology), any type of mesenchymal stem cell can be differentiated into the osteoblasts consistently and quickly.
